Directions

Stephenville is located 27 miles south of I-20 on US 281 at the intersection of US Highways 67, 281 and 377 and Texas 108. 60 miles Southwest of Fort Worth. 80 miles Southeast of Abilene. 90 miles Northwest of Waco.

Directions to Tarleton Gym from:

(1) Highway 377 from Dallas/Ft. Worth/ Granbury
Just before entering Stephenville look for the Lone Star Arena on your left. This is your reference point. A sign for Hwy. 377 South or Business Hwy. 377 is on your right just past the arena. Veer right on Business Hwy. 377 until you reach the blinking red light/4-way stop at the Hwy. 281 intersection. Go through the blinking light continuing on Hwy. 377, continuing on past Virginia, Graham, Belknap and Columbia Streets. You will pass Central Elementary on your left, Sonic, McDonald's and take curve in the road to the stop light. Turn right on Lillian Street (3.3 miles from the veer onto Business Hwy. 377), entering Tarleton State University. Turn left on street before the blinking caution light. Go straight and you will see the Health and Physical Education Building on your right. This is TARLETON GYM. You're home!!! 

(2) Highway 281 from I-20
Entering Stephenville you will pass Junction 8 on the right. Keep straight on Hwy. 281 proceeding over the railroad tracks. At the blinking yellow light veer right to Stephenville. Go through the yield sign and you are now on Washington St./Hwy. 377. Go over the Bosque River Bridge through the light on Virginia St., through the light on Graham St., and you will soon pass Central Elementary School on your left. Continue West past McDonald's and take curve in road to the light. At this light, turn right on Lillian Street, entering Tarleton State University. Turn left on street before the blinking caution light. Go straight and you will see the Health and Physical Education Building on your right. This is TARLETON GYM. You're home!!! 

(3) Highway 8 from I-20 coming from Eastland/Abilene
Entering Stephenville you will pass Higginbotham's Hardware on your right and continue on past the Oakwood Assisted Living Home on your left. Turn right at the first light. Immediately merge into the left lane and turn left on North Harbin past Lacy Funeral Home to the 4-way stop at Frey Street. Continue straight past T.S.U. Stadium and turn left at Sloan Street. Go past the tennis courts on your right and through the 4-way stop and you are in the parking lot of Health and Physical Education Building which is TARLETON GYM. You're home!!!

(4) Highway 377 from Brownwood
Entering Stephenville you will pass the Texan Inn on your right. Go through the first Stop Light at the Bosque River Center. You are going East on Washington St./Hwy. 377. Go through the second light at Wolfe Nursery Road, past the Wal-Mart. Stay on Hwy. 377 Business, which will become Washington, (do not veer to the right). Continue East past the Pizza Hut, through Dale St., past H.E.B. Supermarket, until you reach the Harbin Rd. Intersection. Turn left on Harbin. The 3rd street after turning on Harbin is Sloan street (at the Tarleton stadium). Turn right on Sloan, going past the tennis courts and straight through the 4 way stop. You are at the parking lot of the Health and Physical Education Building. This is TARLETON GYM. You're home!!!

(5) Highway 6 to Highway 281 from Waco
Entering Stephenville on Highway 281 from Hico, see the big sign on your right, "Stephenville Business District/Texas 108". Turn left on the left hand turn lane. Go past the Animal Health Medical Center and straight to the Stop Light on the South Loop. Go straight through light (the street you are on is called S. Graham) Drive past the city park and continue until coming to the first light, which is Washington/Hwy. 377. Turn left and drive West and you will pass Central Elementary School on your left, Sonic, McDonald's and take curve in road to the light. Turn right on Lillian Street, entering Tarleton State University. Turn left on street before the blinking caution light. Go straight and you will see the Health and Physical Education Building on your right. This is TARLETON GYM. You're home!!!

(6) Highway 67 from Dallas/Glen Rose
Upon entering Stephenville you will pass United Cooperative Services on the left and continue to the blinking red light. Go straight through the blinking light to the stop sign (.4 miles). Turn left or West on Hwy 377 until you get to the light on South Graham. Turn right or North on South Graham driving past the park. Turn left or West at the first light, which is Washington/Biz. 377. (1.3 miles from 1st blinking red light). Driving West on Washington/Biz. 377 you will pass Central Elementary School on your left, Sonic, McDonald's and take curve in road to the light. Turn right on Lillian Street (2.3 miles), entering Tarleton State University. Turn left on street before the blinking caution light. Go straight and you will see the Health and Physical Education Building on your right. This is TARLETON GYM. You're home!!!
