Activities and Events

Many activities and events are currently being finalized to make your visit to Stephenville and the Firecracker 100 a memorable event. Please check back Friday, June 27th for any last minute changes. THIS IS THE HOTTEST RIDE!.

Camping available (see Firecracker Volunteer at Registration Table). Bring your tent and stay the night, or check out our list of great lodging facilities:

 

 

DAY BEFORE RIDE - FRIDAY, JUNE 27th

Those who arrive for Friday's 6 p.m. Packet-Pick-Up are entitled to a delicious Italian spaghetti supper at no charge

DAY OF RIDE - SATURDAY, JUNE 28th
Packet Pick-Up - Starting at 6:00 a.m. to ride start
RACE

  • Non-Sanctioned

  • Start Time - 7:50 a.m.

  • First Prize

    • $100 (award to one male and one female entry)
    • Men's and Women's winners receive the coveted Bronze Boot Award
    • No entry fee in 2009
    • Free Motel reservation for 2009 ride
    • Dinner for 2 in 2009 at Stephenville Restaurant
    • Picture in local news paper
  • Second Prize
    • $50 (award to one male and one female entry)
    • No entry fee in 2009
    • Dinner for 2 in 2009 at Stephenville Restaurant
  • Third Prize -   $25 for both male and female winners

RIDE

  • Start Time - 8:00 a.m. on Saturday June 28th.

RIDE ACTIVITIES
Please be aware that last minute changes could be made due to unforeseen circumstances.

A) Hot Dog awards luncheon provided after ride (times to be announced)

  • Door Prizes  
  • KSTV on-air radio personality, David Davis, will be emceeing the annual awards luncheon after the rally

B) Discount passes from local businesses

C) Firecracker participants will be given access to the Tarleton swimming and shower facilities

D) Firecracker participants will be treated to great music and performances by local celebrities.

E) The Tarleton Cheerleaders will be on-hand to charge the atmosphere with excitement

F) Mary Stricker will be presenting our National Anthem at the start of the race.

G) Jump House for your children's enjoyment.

H) A Best Rest Stop award will be presented during the luncheon!

I) Masseuse, Valerie Woods, will be available at the finish line for a massage. Tips are encouraged.

J) A free room has been provided to the Male and Female winners of last year's race by the La Quinta Inn.
